Network of Specialists to Help Chubb Customers Protect Their Homes and Save Money

WARREN, NJ, March 23, 2005 – The Chubb Group of Insurance Companies has created the Masterpiece® Protection Network to provide its customers with referrals to qualified home protection specialists. In addition to helping customers protect their property and families, the service can save them money.

When customers contact the Masterpiece Protection Network, Chubb will refer them to home security specialists, home inventory services, loss mitigation services and other protection specialists in their areas. The customers can receive discounts up to 33 percent from the service providers, as well as premium credits from Chubb.

“By tapping into the relationships Chubb has developed during 25 years of appraisal service, we can refer our customers to the best and most respected home protection specialists around the country,” said Scott Spencer, worldwide home appraisal manager for Chubb Personal Insurance. “We are helping our customers protect their property and families while saving them time and money.”

Spencer said the referral network is a natural extension of Chubb’s residential appraiser service. In addition to helping customers determine the replacement cost of their homes, appraisers recommend systems and maintenance measures intended to reduce exposures to fire, theft, water damage and other losses.

Customers who install fire and burglar alarms, moisture detection systems, lightening protection systems, perimeter fences with electronic gates, power generators and temperature control devices may be entitled to superior protection credits ranging from two percent to five percent of their policy premium. Depending on the state, a home can qualify for as much as 25 percent in credits.

Chubb is a leading provider of property and casualty insurance to fine homes, luxury cars, valuable articles and yachts. Additional information on Chubb’s personal insurance products and services can be found on the Internet at www.chubb.com/personal.
